Our Environmental Focus Bear Creek Community Charter School’s mission is to embrace a diverse student body and inspire student success through an innovative curriculum, the cultivation of environmental stewardship, and by holding students, family, school, and community accountable for results. It is our belief that children must be taught their inherent and necessary responsibility to coexist with the environment and encouraged to permeate humanity with this knowledge. We believe: Recycling Saves Natural Resources - Reprocessing used materials to makenew products and packaging reduces the consumption of natural resources. Recycling Saves Energy - Energy savings are a very important environmental benefit of recycling, because using energy requires the consumption of scarce fossil fuels and involves emissions of numerous air and water pollutants. Recycling Saves Our Environment - By reducing the amount of energy usedby industry, recycling also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and helps prevent global climate change. Bear Creek Recycles!
