Gertrude Hawk Candy Pick-Up

Order pick-up is Tuesday, March 16 between the hours of 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. in the School Library. If you have any problems with your order or in picking it up at the designated time please call Kim at 829-2920.

Spring Festival Volunteers Needed

Bear Creek Community Charter School's Annual Spring Festival will take place on Friday, May 28, 2010. This all day event includes a variety of educational and fun activities, and is sponsored by the Bear Creek Community Charter School PTO. This is truly one of the most memorable events for students throughout the year, and has been a tradition that dates back to Bear Creek Elementary School. To ensure success, the PTO needs parent volunteers to coordinate the movement of students, assist with games and activities, as well as prepare for the event. Parents are encouraged to volunteer.

A meeting of the Spring Festival Committee has been scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Cafй inside Barnes and Noble at the Arena Hub Plaza. The Committee is actively seeking new volunteers, so please join them for this initial meeting. PTO Parent Directory

It is time once again to begin preparing the 2009-2010 School Directory. The Directory is an excellent resource for all of our families, and includes an organized list of teachers, students, and homeroom parents. The directory will be distributed only to the children of our school. Please include any/all information you wish to provide. We are asking everyone to respond, even if you do not wish to have your child listed in the directory. Click Here for the PTO Parent Directory Form

Classroom Volunteers

If you would like to volunteer to help in your child's classroom, ask your child's teacher for the name of the "Homeroom Parent". The Homeroom Parent will be the PTO designee for each clasroom that will work with parents to coordinate parties, activities, and other classroom volunteer opportunities.

NOTICE: Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers, including chaperones on field trips, are required to have an acceptable Pennsylvania State Police Background Check and Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance Report on file with the School Office. Under no circumstance can a parent volunteer within the School or attend a field trip without both clearances on file. There will be no exceptions to this requirement, so get your clearances early and submit a copy to Rosanne Hartwigsen in the School Office.
