Wireless Emergency Notification System Keeping parents and other stakeholders informed is of critical importance to the Bear Creek Community Charter School. The school is working with the Luzerne County Department of Public Safety to implement the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS) to more effectively communicate with parents during inclement weather events and emergencies. Parents who subscribe to this free service will receive either an e-mail message and/or a cell phone text message when an alert is broadcast by the Bear Creek Community Charter School. This is a free service provided to our community through Luzerne County's Safe School's Initiative. Note: Normal text message fees - contact your cell phone carrier All parents will be receiving a notification regarding how to sign up for this free service in the next few weeks.
